Privacy Policy

Introduction

Your privacy matters to me. This policy explains what information I collect through Mayday Yoga, how I use it, and how I protect it. If you have questions, you're welcome to reach out at marie@mnyoga.org.

1. Information I Collect

Through my website

When you fill out the contact form on my website, I collect your name, email address, and the message you send, along with any service preferences you mention. My website, built on Wix, may also collect basic technical information like your IP address, browser type, and pages visited.

During sessions and workplace bookings

Mayday Yoga offers group TCTSY sessions, trauma-informed wellness talks, and workplace or organizational programs. I don't keep session notes or attendance records. If a participant prefers to give written consent rather than verbal consent before a group session, that written form is the only individual record collected, and it's kept private.

For workplace or organizational bookings, I collect whatever is shared through the contact form, typically a name, email, and a description of what you're looking for.

Payment information

When you pay for a session or program, payment is handled through Square, Venmo, cash, or check. I don't store your card details myself, that's handled directly by the payment processor.

2. How I Use Your Information

I use the information I collect to respond to inquiries, schedule sessions through Calendly, process payments, communicate about upcoming sessions, and improve the website. I don't sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Confidentiality

Mayday Yoga is a trauma-informed yoga and wellness practice, not therapy or medical treatment. Even so, confidentiality and discretion matter to me just as much. Anything shared in the context of a session or a written consent form stays private. I won't share your personal information without your permission, except where required by law.

4. How I Protect Your Information

  • Website forms use SSL encryption through Wix

  • Payment information is processed securely through Square and Venmo, not stored by me

  • Scheduling runs through Calendly and virtual sessions through Zoom, both of which have their own security practices

  • Access to any information collected is limited to me

5. Cookies and Website Analytics

My website may use essential cookies required for the site to function, like contact forms and security. I'm not currently running Google Analytics or any similar tracking tool, though this policy will be updated if that changes. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

6. Third-Party Services

I use a small number of third-party services to run Mayday Yoga:

  • Website hosting: Wix

  • Scheduling: Calendly

  • Virtual sessions: Zoom

  • Payment processing: Square, Venmo

These providers have access to limited information needed to do their part, and I choose them with care.

7. Your Rights

You can ask to see what information I have about you, request corrections, ask that your information be deleted, or opt out of non-essential communications at any time. Reach out at marie@mnyoga.org.

8. Who This Is For

Mayday Yoga's services are for adults 18 and older. This website isn't intended for children, and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9. Changes to This Policy

I may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of Mayday Yoga's services means you accept the current version.
